Injection moulding (or injection molding), ranks as one of the most popular manufacturing processes for producing plastic products and components.
It is a rapid production process and is used to produce large numbers of identical parts. The type of products that can be made from injection moulding, but is by no means comprehensive inlcude out door furniture, power-tool housing, wire insulation, telephone handsets, electrical switches, DVDs, automotive bumpers, automotive dash boards, lego parts, battery casings, syringes, disposable razors, containers, wheelie bins, crates, recycling boxes, bottle lids. .
Reasons for plastic injection moulding include:
|
| |
- Cost per part is extremly low, so high volume component production makes it very economical.
- Complex geometries are possible in plastic injection moulding.
- No geometry limits on part dimensions.
- Wide variety of available materials to suit many applications where strength, rigidity, chemical resistance, UV resistance, temperature resistance and impact resistance are important.
- Any commercially available material and surface finish.
- Plastic mould injection materials can be recycled and still have excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking and corrosion.
- Metal inserts can easily be moulded in.
- Design flexibility, from small and intricate to large and complex plastic injection moulds.
- Structural and load bearing components can be moulded and material foamed to give them immense strength.
- Plastic injection moulding is economical for low, medium and high volume production runs.

Plastic injection moulding process:
|
| |
In the plastic injection molding process, hot molten plastic is forced under pressure by a hydraulic ram into a closed mold.
The mold is cooled to freeze the plastic in the desired shape, and no chemical reaction takes place. Most thermoplastics can be processed by injection moulding.
Some of the commonly used materials for plastic injection moulding include polystyrene (GPPS), acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), polypropylene (PP), nylon (PA), and polycarbonate (PC).
Armor-Pro will source the manufacturer and provide you with a quote for having your injection mold tools and components manufactured in China.
With our agents onsite, our customers are guaranteed that only the highest quality components will be manufactured.

For a no obligation quote simply email us a copy of the CAD design or engineering plans for the plastic injection moulding you want manufactured in China.
Please define as much imformation about the moulding, including processes, materials, colours, quality control issues, and quanities.
Our China operations team will then open a project and start the sourcing process.
You will also be contacted by one of our business development managers who will discuss your project in more detail.
On completion of the sourcing RFQ you will be supplied a quote detailing the tooling, and per unit production cost, minimal order quanity, lead time, pricing and shipping.
